100% young vine, massale selection Chardonnay, that is barrel fermented on fine lees for 14 months. Classic reductive young Chardonnay from Jura made topped up, or ouillé. Much lighter, more aromatic, and more delicate than the 2022 vintage. The grapes are grown on a 'patchwork' of terroir: a blend of 60% lias and trias clay, which is responsible for the wine's punching acidity, and 40% bajocien limestone. The wine is a true featherweight, punches hard, but soft enough to stay approachable and true to Jurassic Chardonnay. Pair with a fried chicken sandwich and fries with garlic aioli, or seared scallops and polenta.
