The Story

Classic Left Bank Bordeaux! A deep purple color, on the palate, 'Le Fleuron' is medium-bodied with a velvety texture. The wine is well-balanced, with bright acidity and smooth tannins that lend structure and elegance. Flavors of dark fruits—blackcurrant, raspberry, and a touch of black cherry—are complemented by gentle hints of earthy minerality, graphite, and spice. The oak influence is present but well-integrated, adding depth without overwhelming the fruit. The finish is long and refined, with lingering notes of black fruit and a subtle touch of mocha. The 2016 vintage shows the potential for aging, as the wine is already expressive yet retains a youthful vibrancy that will likely evolve with time, developing even more complexity. Pair with roasted or grilled meats like lamb, duck, and beef, as well as hearty stews. Its structure also makes it an excellent match for mature cheeses, such as aged cheddar or a rich Brie.
