The Story

This 100% un-oaked Chardonnay comes from the area just south Mâcon. Pours a pale straw yellow with a faint green tinge. On the nose you get bright citrus (lemon zest, lime) followed by stone fruit—think white peach and nectarine—and subtle floral hints, maybe acacia or blossom. There’s a mineral undertone, a flinty or wet‑stone edge, lending freshness. On the palate it’s lively but not aggressive: crisp acidity cuts through, balancing moderate richness. Texture is clean, with perhaps a light waxy or chalky feel on the finish. There may be a faint suggestion of almond skin or a soft nutty note lingering after the fruit fades. Medium length, refreshing, elegant rather than overtly powerful. Pair with fresh oysters or shellfish, grilled sea bass or other mild white fish,  with an herb‑butter sauce, or chicken‑breast on the grill.
