The Waterhorse Ridge vineyard is one of the coolest climate vineyards on California's Sonoma Coast, and arguably in all of the state. An appropriate amount of sunlight and warmth throughout the season contributed equally to the wine's prowess, giving its fruit a freshness that almost begs to be drunk immediately. And clocking in at 12.8% ABV, it is on the lighter side for Cab. Flavors of black cherry, cassis, truffle, graphite and well integrated tannins are sure to develop over time into some serious tertiary notes.
