This Champagne is made from 100% Chardonnay. 'L'Échappée Belle', meaning 'The Great Escape is sourced from the village of Grauves known for cooler temperatures, from other vineyards throughout Champagne and from a perpetual reserve started in 2011. The vineyards in Grauves are special to Etienne as they were planted by his grandparents, who were from there. 25% of the wine ages in oak, while the remainder is kept in stainless steel, both on the fine lees for almost 2 years.
