This wine is 100% Pinot Noir from Santa Barbara. This is a more robust expression of Pinot from the sunny, but oceanic climate of Santa Barbara. Warmer days than up north, but the vines still experience cool ocean breezes at night. This translates to riper fruit and tannin, but is balanced by good acidity, and interesting black cherry, cola, clove, and black tea notes. This is a great wine for a grilled steak or pork chop, when you're not feeling a super full body or even grippier tannins.Â
