The Story
This lovely dessert wine is made from Malvasia di Candia. It takes very skilled winemaking to forego adding sulphur to a sweet wine, but La Stoppa did not back down from the challenge. The grapes are dried in the sun, pressed and vinified, and held back in bottle for two years before release. The aromatic Malvasia produces fresh notes of orange blossom, with slightly candied stone fruit and caramel flavors on the palate. Enjoy with baklava or light flaky pastries with jam.
