The Story
This wine is a field blend of 13 Piedmontese grapes, both white and red, planted to the ancient Maggiorina trellising system, developed in Piedmont centuries ago. This is a serious wine, combining power, complexity and savory spice into something extremely drinkable. We would have it with yogurt-crusted lamb chops, grilled broccolini, and pickled red onions. Fans of Le Piane will recognize that this is the new and improved bottling of the once lighter green labeled "Maggiorina". Now it is "THE Maggiorina".
