The Story
This wine is made from 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Cabernet Franc, and 12% Petit Verdot. Made by Ntsiki Biyela, South Africa's first black woman winemaker. The wine is fermented in stainless steel and aged in oak (15% new) for 16 months, before bottling at the beginning of 2023. The wine showcases classic black jammy fruit, layers of green bell pepper, dried herbs, and vanilla, expected from this type of blend and winemaking. It is built to enjoy seamlessly with perfectly cooked red meats and sweet-savory sauces, and pair amazingly with a French dip and a fresh cup of jus.
