Only 15 vintages of this wine have ever been produced. The grapes, Furmint and Hárslevelű, are selected only on exceptional years, from Royal Tokaji's first and second growth vineyards. The grapes are left on the vine throughout the fall to ripen fully and develop botrytis, or noble rot, resulting in ripe, concentrated flavors of honey, dried apricots, orange blossom, white peach, and allspice. Only a few barrels are produced. Pair with duck pâté, poached pears, or crème brûlée.
