This wine is made from 100% Trousseau. We would pair it with duck confit. This is a serious beast of a wine with loads of electricity. It is rich with spiced red fruit, leather and black pepper, with rugged tannins that deserve a decent decanting or time in the cellar. The wine is reminiscent of a rustic Bandol rouge, but if that bottle of Bandol was raised up in the mountains with a little more of an edge.
