The Story
This wine is made mostly of the grape Pigato, with a little Vermentino. We would pair it with linguine with mussels and clams, cooked in white wine sauce. A few hundred cases a year serve as the fruit of Claudio Vio and his family's hard work in Vendone, a small commune 40 km west of France in the region of Liguria. The wine displays a great balance of soft savory stone fruit and herbal notes make this wine quite the treat. It also has sharp saline finish to tie in the herbs and fruit.
