This is an organic blend of 90% Sangiovese and 10% Canaiolo from 15 to 40-year old vines, planted in the Ciarliana and Cervognano crus of Montepulciano, Tuscany. This is not the Montepulciano grape of Abruzzo we've all come to know, but the town of Montepulciano, known for its classic Tuscan Sangiovese dominated wines. The wine is aged in large oak casks for 18 months, and cellared for one year in bottle before being released to market. A perfect wine to accompany your veal pappardelle ragu.
