This is my favorite wine from this producer, my friend Vittore. Â This is not the richest, nor the flashiest, nor the darkest, nor the most tannic...but, to me, this wine is just about perfect...every year. Â You should treat yourself.
The San Lorenzo vineyard lies in Verduno, adjacent to the celebrated Monvigliero cru, sharing a southern exposure but positioned at a slightly lower elevation with gentler slopes. The soils are predominately limestone and silt, influenced by the “marne di Sant’Agata,” lending finesse and a precise mineral character.
