The Story
This wine is made of 100% Nero d'Avola. Nero d'Avola is rich and full-bodied, with blackberry and cherry notes, and would make a great pairing with Oxtail Stew. The grapes for this wine are destemmed but left whole, and is a fresh, elegant expression of Nero. Winemaker Arianna Occhipinti is the niece of Guisto Occhipinti whose COS wines have been stuff of legend in Sicily. Following her uncle's footsteps, Arianna makes some of the best wine in the area, arguably in all of Italy.
