The Story
This wine is made of 70% Frappato and 30% Nero d'Avola. We would pair this with grilled swordwish and eggplant caponata. 'SP68' is the name of the road that crosses through Arianna Occhipinti's original vineyard in Vittoria, and is a special name for her "flipped" version of wine from the Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOC. Occhipinti switched the percentages of grapes that are normally required in the DOC, and has created a flavorful young wine, bursting with tart red berry flavors and a savory earthiness.
