The Story
This wine is made with the five grapes grown at the Podere le Boncie estate: Sangiovese, Canaiolo, Colorino, Mammolo, and Fogliatonda. The wine is aged for one year in open-top wooden vats and bottled the following spring. It is considered the "second wine" of the estate behind Le Trame, and contains wine that doesn't make it into the latter cuvée. Pair it with a juicy New York Strip grilled to perfection and served alongside crispy potatoes dusted with salt, rosemary, and black pepper.
